Deleting your data
GP Locum: Invoices & Pension
Last updated 2 September 2026
There is no account to delete. The app has no sign-up, no password and no server, so it never creates a record of you anywhere for us to close down. What there is instead is data in up to four places, and you can delete each of them yourself, in a couple of taps, without asking anyone.
If you would rather we did it, or something below does not work, email [email protected] and it will be dealt with within 30 days.
1. The data on your phone
Everything the app holds — your details, your practices, every session, your fees, distances, expenses, your signature and the PDFs it has produced — is in the app’s own storage on the device.
In the app: More → Backup → Delete everything. That clears the sessions, practices, distances, expenses and your signature immediately, and cannot be undone.
Or uninstall the app, which removes its storage and every document in it. On Android you can also use Settings → Apps → GP Locum → Storage → Clear data.
2. The app’s access to your Google account
Only relevant if you switched on the Google Drive backup. In the app: More → Backup → Stop backing up. That signs out and revokes the app’s access to your Google account, so it can no longer read or write anything there.
You can do the same from Google’s side, and check it took, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling does not revoke access by itself, so if you are uninstalling, do this first.
3. The backup in your Google Drive
The backup lives in a folder called GP Locum in your own Drive. It is yours, in your account, and stopping the backup deliberately leaves it alone — deleting someone’s invoices because they turned a setting off would be indefensible.
To delete it: open Google Drive, move the GP Locum folder to the bin, then empty the bin. That removes the data file and every invoice, pension form and statement the app put there.
We cannot do this one for you. The app can only reach files it created itself, and only while it is connected; nobody here has access to your Drive at any point.
4. A message you sent through the contact form
If you have written to us from inside the app or from this site, the name, email address and message exist as an email in an ordinary inbox. Ask, and it is deleted. Otherwise it is deleted within 12 months of the conversation ending.
What is kept, and for how long
| What | Where it is | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
| Your details, diary, fees, expenses, signature, PDFs | Your phone | You delete them, or uninstall |
| The same data and PDFs, backed up | Your own Google Drive | You delete the folder |
| Contact form name, email and message | Our email inbox | 12 months, or sooner on request |
| Anything else about you | Nowhere — none is held | — |
There is no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting in the app, so there is no usage history, device identifier or profile to delete.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with the answer. In practice the only thing held anywhere but your own phone and your own Drive is a contact-form email, which is covered above.
The full detail of what the app does with your information is in the privacy policy.
